RekryON is a versatile, free-of-charge recruitment and career event that has been held in Mikkeli since 2012. It brings together employers, jobseekers, students, and educational institutions from the region, both on site and online.
The goal is to promote employment by making encounters smooth and impactful. RekryON offers tangible job and study opportunities, valuable networking, and timely insights into working life. The event is organised by Mikkeli Development Company Miksei Ltd in collaboration with the Mikkeli region employment services.

RekryON history
The RekryON event has been organised since 2012.
From 2012 to 2017, the organising responsibility was held by the Employment Services of the City of Mikkeli.
2012–2014: One-day event at Esedu, Otavankatu, Mikkeli. Annually more than 50 companies, with around 600–800 visitors.
2015: Week-long event in a tent at Mikkeli Market Square, with daily themes by sector. About 80 organisations, 2,300 visitors.
2016: Week-long event at Mikkeli City Library, with daily themes by sector. About 80 organisations, 2,700 visitors.
2017: Three-day event at Cultural Centre Tempo, Mikkeli. About 80 organisations, more than 2,000 visitors.
From 2018 to 2019, the organising responsibility was transferred to South Savo Vocational College (Esedu).
2018: Two-day event at Esedu, Otavankatu, Mikkeli. About 80 organisations, more than 1,600 visitors.
2019: One-day event across the Akseli and Stella shopping centres, Mikkeli. About 60 organisations. Visitor estimates: Stella 3,000, Akseli 2,000.
For 2020–2021, the responsibility returned to the Employment Services of the City of Mikkeli.
2020: One-day event at Mikkeli City Library.
2021: One-day online event (rekryon.fi).
2022: The event was not organised due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In 2023, Mikkeli Development Miksei Ltd took over the organising responsibility.
2023: One-day event at the Akseli shopping centre, Mikkeli, and online (rekryon.fi). Around 1,300 visitors.
2024: One-day event at the Stella shopping centre, Mikkeli. Around 1,500 visitors.
2025: One-day event at the Stella shopping centre, Mikkeli. Around 1,500 visitors.
